Reserved a small 34$/day car from pickup in downtown Cleveland. Had to Uber there to have them tell me all they had were Escalades for 150$/day. Then I had to Uber home with no time to go to another location to pick up a different car. Waste of time, terrible service once I got to the location. Will never go through Hertz.

We had a family emergency and booked a rental to drive out of state. I called Hertz the morning of our pick up date and told them we booked for a noon pick up, but may not be there until around 4:30 or so. The agent said that was fine, my rental could be picked up anytime within the day of my booking. Due to the chaos that typically comes with emergent and last minute plans such as this, we didn’t get to the airport to pick up until 5:20-5:30. The desk was closed and literally no one was there to give us our rental. Due to it being so late in the day, there was literally no one anywhere within a two-hour drive that we could golfing who could help us after that. We ended up with no rental whatsoever and totally screwed.

when I picked up the Tesla, it only had 150 miles on it when we signed up for it it said it could go up to 280. I was planning on going to see the art exhibit which was an hour away, and the creation museum. when I returned the car, they didn’t really give me instructions. They said it was due the next day but the ticket I had said it was due back at 7 PM. There were not a lot of charging stations either. I wish it would’ve been fully charged when I left. Made the trip a little bit more stressful trying to figure out where I could charge it and get it back in time.

The car wasn’t serviced before I picked it up. Halfway through our long road trip the car needed an oil change. The windshield wipers didn’t work. The windshield wiper fluid was empty. And it seemed to need new tires. The car was clean and we did get an upgrade at no additional charge but I was disappointed thinking we wouldn’t make it back home with all the issues we had.

The check in for this rental was abysmal. Disinterested workers, long line. Took over an hour to get our car. The two girls working the desk were the worst two employees I have ever experienced. They reflect poorly on the management of Budget in the Cleveland Hopkins operation.

I had reserved a Tahoe or similar and was first given a Ford Explorer which would not be large enough cargo space. Then I was offered a mini van, same, not enough cargo space. Finally was given an Expedition, which was perfect. Once home I noticed that the heat shield was hanging loose so back I went to the airport. The mechanical staff fixed it without incident. The rest of the trip was great.

$100 a day is terrible, when I could of gotten 2 days for $5 more from them...crazy! When I picked up my rental, the car was just driving up and the lady got out of the vehicle not really saying anything. I had to ask if the keys were in it. There was no walk around with anyone, which is concerning because there is a lot of damage to the exterior of the vehicle. I took 10 pictures of damaged areas, then noticed the following more that I couldn't see in the dim area plus the car being wet. The car had at least one low tire and needed service, according to the dash. How is that missed when it was just dropped off for me? Does that even matter? I would think that a rental should not be due for a service as soon as you get it, plus not have a low tire. I used Budget as a last resort at the Columbus airport. It was cheapest, not sure how, and had availability.

Long line at checkin and very few cars. Mostly vans and trucks. Car was dirty and had greasy stains on all the touch points. That said, everyone I dealt with was friendly. Drop off in Pittsburgh was great.

Huge lines at the counter. The car was rented to me dirty and without a full tank of gas. When I called customer service I was put on hold and ultimately hung up on. I gave the car back and am still fighting the charges. Awful experience.

Very poor customer service. I reserved a pickup truck and was given a small SUV when there were many trucks in the lot. The staff member did not greet or communicate verbally with me during the interaction. More than a little off putting but I didn't complain. My reservation had been made months ahead of time so when I realized I had been given the wrong vehicle, I went back to the staff member who then gave me keys to one of the many trucks, though again, this was done without her saying a word. All I did was walk up and say 'hello' in a friendly manner. Not at all a good experience. I feel like if she saw my reservation and didn't want to give me a truck before I went out in the pouring rain to find an SUV, then she should have mentioned it?

Drop off signage could be better. Drove past the sign had to turn around and other rental car lot to get back to thrifty. Was not aware that car I chose was so low to get into. Would have liked more information about in and out of vehicle.

I ordered a rental online with my bank card and paid as well online. Arrived at the airport to get the car and was told I cannot get the car I don’t qualify cause I didn’t have a major credit card. Thrifty didn’t want to refund my money just kept telling ME sorry you couldn’t get the car c we understand.

Great service, nice location. The car had Steering drift to the left, and I could never get the cruise control to work. Bluetooth to the phone was inconsistent; sometimes it worked, other times it didn’t. Not major issues but the steering issue could have been a safety issue.

The first car I was assigned was not in the spot. Waited in line again at the counter in the parking lot, and was told to go back downstairs. Had to wait in line yet again to get reassigned. Overall, the process took over an hour, with the initial line only having 4 people in front of me, then 2 at the parking lot kiosk, and then waiting for almost 35 minutes to go through the like downstairs again. Very poor communication from the workers, and none seemed to want to deal with people, and not a single apology for the mistake, just a glare and a piece of paper shoved back at me.
