It was easy to pick up the car and the location of the pick up was convenient. But were given the wrong parking slot which became confusing. We thought we were renting a “full size” car. The car at best was a mid size. We had difficulty fitting our golf clubs in the car. It was a struggle every time. That was disappointing.

Rentals were overbooked and my reservation was cancelled without notification until I arrived at the desk to pick up my car. Furthermore, it took 10 days to get my pre-payment refunded.

I reserved a car and they did not have the car available. I ultimately had to pay triple the price to another rental car company and I have not received a refund. This is not only upsetting but costly.

The vehicle I reserved was not available. I received a vehicle that cost me $341 more than my price. I was forced to take this deal because there were no vehicles available at any other agency. They offered me a refund, which was of no use to me, because I needed a vehicle to drive 2 hours to Augusta. I will never rent from Sixt again and will think twice about reserving through Kayak again either.

receive card very dirty the car had a ton of scuff marks and damage asked to swap car they would not allow us app was not working to upgrade. They would not help us. Call customer service left a message they would not call us back counter. Did not help us at the end of the rental either because we booked through kayak! Extremely disappointed on both accounts.

Customer service was atrocious. We were delayed 2 hours due to a tornado in ATL and I was told the vehicle level I reserved was not in stock and that my reservation was not priority because I had only reserved it 6 hours before arrival and I forfeited my reservation due to the policy of not being on time even though it was due to a severe weather delay. I was told I would have to wait an hour and a half to see if anything came available but no guarantees. I had my two young children with me so I asked if anything at all was available and they said I should either cancel or I could pay 2X as much for an upgrade to the next level but due to it being the start of The Masters they didn't need to upgrade me as a courtesy. I said I would upgrade and just speak with customer service later then they immediately told me "never mind- that option was not available for me (and she specified to me personally)" and that I had to wait 20 minutes either way so to step aside. After waiting 20 minutes there was still no updates- employees were taking breaks almost all at the same time...no snacks or waters provided to the kids that were behind the counter- we were just told to keep waiting. Finally, I asked to give me what was available and they gave me a 2 door Camaro at an upgraded charge. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- will never use this service again.

Terrible car rental First car at garage check engine light on Second tape all around door from window either broke before Third scratches all on car Fourth car I had no choice on a nice 2022 Honda Civic which loved the gas mileage but had scratches all on car and Dent on passenger side which guy told me at service don’t worry about it but again when I returned car they pointed out everything I discribed… I had to fill out a damage slip for something I didn’t do…. I will never use Hertz again very disappointed

Did not get the car I booked for. Car was not completely cleaned. Gas tank was half full. Car was old, over 53,000 miles on it. Car has front alignment problem, vibrating when using the break.

I learned a major thing with my recent rental from Hertz. If anything goes wrong with the car, you must complete a breakdown report or you will not get payed. I rented from Hertz via Kayak previously. The car had a dead headlamp which I did not notice. I drove the car on a long trip. I was stopped by the police when it got dark for having a dead headlamp and got a ticket. I had to fix the car in about 2-3 days to resolve the ticket. I bought a headlamp and installed it myself after calling the Hertz breakdown support phone line. I have records of the phone call, but Hertz would not pay for the lightbulb, because I did not do a full report via the breakdown support line. The person on the phone said just buy a bulb or have it repaired, and they will pay. But I believe, because it was not directly through Hertz and no report was made they refused to pay, after 2 requests including the police report and record of the call. Glad I work on my own cars, so I removed the bulb and took it after the rental. I was maybe going to get a Hertz credit at the rental place, but I wanted money back as I don't rent direct from Hertz.

Nobody was there to show me to the car or to tell me which cars were available for my reservation. I had to run around the parking lot with my suitcases looking for someone to help me. Car was not fully charged even though I paid for the refuel option. When I asked the associate she said that’s how it works and was generally unhelpful and distracted.

The man I was working with was fine, but the lady who was with him seemed high. She was on her phone constantly and another woman walked in and then they started talking about their boss. Aside from that, they didn’t have the size car I wanted. I had to take something smaller. The car had a huge dent and scratch on the side.

When we arrived there were no cars available and we were not told that until after we reserved and paid the deposit for the car on arrival. We then went to the car pickup area where there were about 100 people waiting for a car. While the front desk upstairs continued to book new car reservations and said they will give a car as they are returned which resulted in a 4 hour wait. To make it worse the front desk people were laughing, and at one point one went down to FaceTime the upstairs staff to show them the line WHILE LAUGHING. THEY WERE RUDE AND DISGUSTING and I will never in my life rent with Avis again.

Had to get three different cars First one the keys weren’t in it, and the outside staff didn’t care about finding the keys so I had to go back inside wait in line and they gave me another car which was electric with a 100 mile range. Not looking to find a place to charge after midnight. They also did not know where the charge clock was for the car or if it was even inside. I’m not stopping to find a place to charge my rental car that might not have had the charger cable in the middle of the woods. so I had to go back inside and they gave me another car, this all took about an hour so from midnight to one when I could’ve been on the road I was stuck dealing with this rental car. Not happy and would like a refund.

We live overseas so the thorough and patient instructions the staff provided were welcome (we had never used the screens before). This is a marvelous technology, especially for back-view when changing lanes and for parallel parking into a tight space.

There was nothing to like. I had a debit card and could not rent the car. I had just moved into a new house and did not have any proof of identity with my name on it with my new address. I brought something from the power company stating that I had service connected but they wouldn't take that because there was no bill included that I had paid. The manager at the Cobb parkway location was very rude. The Roswell road location was not very helpful either.. I would use kayak again, but I will never rent from budget.

Our flight was delayed to next day. Budget web site FAQ said that they would honor commitment for 24 hrs, so I didn't call to check. We get to the Budget counter, and then the person at the desk said that they didn't hold it. Fortunately, they still had a minivan that we could use, but this is rather unsettling since we had so many people to move around. Also, would be good in reservation email to say where the Budget reservation area is, e.g. do we need to take a shuttle? Is it in the baggage claim area? (It turns out it's in the baggage claim area in Savannah, but on the other side, so I didn't see it and made a few phone calls to try to figure out where it was). So overall everything did end up ok, but I think a few small tweaks here and there would really smooth the customer experience.

The only reason I chose Budget to rent was the lower price than the competition. However, I ended up receiving an economy size car rather than the minivan that I had initially reserved. The van was not available at Savannah airport, and I needed to get moving as it was past 2 AM and I was extremely tired from an already 1 1/2 hours wait in line. Budget did not deliver on its promise, and I paid more that anticipated for a smaller economy car. And an unanticipated fuel surcharge of $74? After I returned the car with a full tank?

It was a nightmare. We had a 2 pm pickup. We got there at 2:15 pm and they said all cars were gone for the day to come back tomorrow or possibly in 7 hours. We were at the airport and trying to move on with the rest of our trip. After waiting a while, we ended up using Enterprise at the airport. How can we prepay and reserve a car if they don’t have it. In the span of an hour of us waiting, this happened to at least 30 other families too.

The car was excellent. My experience with Kayak was wonderful as usual. I reserved a car which would make me assume a car was available. I had to wait an hour to finalize my car and the average wait to actually get one was 2+ hours. This significantly delayed travel plans I would expect if a reservation is available, it means a car will be. This needs to be addressed by Thrifty/Dollar.

pickup line was about 2 hours long. Several people not in line mentioned they stood in line for 1.5-2 hours and then had been waiting 2 hours for a car they still didn't have yet. We didn't have time to deal with that so ended up taking an uber instead even though our rental was a prepaid non refundable

The lady at counter kept harassing me to upgrade. I was in an a hurry for a birthday party so I said from beginning just let me have what I already paid for. She still charged me an extra $13 for Sirus radio and the receipt stated that customer requested it which I didn’t.
